Añasco Beach – Puerto Rico

Rating: ★★★★☆

Just outside the town of Añasco lies this peaceful tropical beach. There are no facilities awaiting for you here, but if relax away from crowds is what you’re looking for, then this beach is perfect for you. Water is usually calm and hence good for swimming. The tropical environment is really suggestive (perfect environment for great pictures) and offers a good location for a day at the beach to relax, near to both Rincon and Añasco, but far away from crowds. Suggested to families and couples.

Domes Beach – Rincon – Puerto Rico

Rating: ★★★★½

Domes Beach, Rincon, Puerto RicoA very popular beach among surfers (and boogie-boarders alike) is Domes Beach, which owes its name to the nearby hemispherical facility, very visible from the beach. Once the designated land for this nuclear reactor built in the 1960s by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, it is now a main surfer morning attraction. Due to moderate current, some rocks and sea urchins it is probably not the best place for swimming or snorkeling. If you’re into whatever kind of activity related to good surf though, this one is definitely the beach for you. There are no bathrooms or other facilties on the beach, but the lighthouse and its bar are within walking distance, contributing to creating an even more interesting environment. Just bring your bug spray, some drinks and snacks and you’ll have fun.
