Malta’s largest sandy beach is located on the north-easter part of the island, within the city of Mellieha. It is very popular, especially for families (both among tourists and locals) and is very easy to be both located and accessed. It can get a little crowded, especially during summer on weekends. There are facilities such as bars, cafes and supermarkets. There are also water sport facilities where you can hire beach equipment, floating devices or even try parasailing. There are of course also many sun beds and umbrellas available for rent.
Ghadira Bay can be reached and accessed very easily. From the main island, by car you can just follow the Gozo Ferry signs, until you find yourself in front of it. Also by bus it’s easy to get there, through lines 44, 50 or 441. Bus stops are within walkking distance from beach entrnace.
