Pretty Bay’s the only sandy beach in the southern part of the island of Malta. Although it’s probably not worth to reach Birzebbugia (or B’Bugia as it’s usually called in Malta) just to visit it, it might well be a cool place where to chill out for a few hours if you find yourself in the southern tip of the island. Actually, the beach wouldn’t be bad at all, with some fine white sand, a few palms and lot of facilities around. What definitely ruins the environment are the heavy duty harbour facilities you’re facing while at the beach. Really not your beach dream landscape; but again, it’s not a terrible beach and can definitely offer you a chance to dip into the water if you find yourself in the souther part of the island.
To get there, just follow road signs for Birzebbugia (or B’Bugia), in the south wester tip of the island of Malta. Bus 11 can also take you there.
