Malta Beaches – Xlendi in Gozo

Rating: Xlendi is a popular bay in Gozo. It has a small sandy beach and a rocky coastline where locals and tourists alike sunbathe in front of the seafront. Water is pretty clean and so is the environment overall. There are bars, restaurants and all of the facilities you might need and expect from a seaside town. Although it’s a cool place to spend the day if you’re vacationing in Gozo, you probably still have better choices (IE Azure Window, Ramla Bay, San Blas), if your time on the island is limited. Malta Beaches – Blue Grotto

Rating: More known for its main attraction, the Blue Grotto, the village of Zurrieq, also offers visitors a chance to swim. There are in fact a few facilities for swimmers, as well as a few bars and restaurants where to rest. With this said, it’s also true that the place is nothing too speactacular as a beach, and it’s much more reccomended for the chance you have to get into a luzzu (Maltese colored boat) and get closer to the magnificient caves in the area.
