There are no facilities awaiting for you here, but if relax away from crowds is what you’re looking for, then this beach is perfect for you. Water is usually calm and hence good for swimming. The tropical environment is really suggestive (perfect environment for great pictures) and offers a good location for a day at the beach to relax, near to both Rincon and Añasco, but far away from crowds. Vela Plaza in Baska, Island of Krk

Rating: Right within the center of the town of Baska, Vela Plaza is one of the most famous (and hence crowded) beaches in the island of Krk. Water is crystal clear and usually calm, thus providing an ideal setting for everyone, especially families with children. It always gets crowded though, so that you have to show up early in order to secure your spot and also to expect a day surrounded by other people (mainly Italian, German or Croatian tourists) if you decide to stop here. Malta Beaches – Ghadira Bay, Mellieha

Rating: Malta’s largest sandy beach is located on the north-easter part of the island, within the city of Mellieha. It is very popular, especially for families (both among tourists and locals) and is very easy to be both located and accessed. It can get a little crowded, especially during summer on weekends. There are facilities such as bars, cafes and supermarkets. There are also water sport facilities where you can hire beach equipment, floating devices or even try parasailing. Malta Beaches – Ramla Bay in Gozo

Rating: Ramla Bay (Ir-Ramla il-Ħamra in Maltese) is a sandy beach, located on the north-eastern side of Gozo, one of the three Maltese islands. Its sand features a distinctive golden-reddish tint, from which it’s inherited its name. The beach is very popular with both Maltese residents and tourists, and can be reached by either car or bus. It’s ideal for sunbathing and swimming, but it’s wide enough that some beach sport activities can be performed as well (it’s indeed suitable for families). Malta Beaches – Golden Bay

Rating: Golden Bay’s of the most popular Sandy beaches of Malta. It’s located in the north-western part of the island, overlooked by the Radisson Blu hotel complex. It’s popular among families, but also couples or tourist groups. It’s very easy to be reached and accessed, and offers all the facilities you might need (cafe, restaurant, umbrella/water sport hire) for a day full of fun at the beach.
