Rating: At about 10 km south of Punat, lies famous Oprna Bay, one of the most prominent and beautiful beaches of the island of Krk. Rating: At about 10 km south of Punat, right between famous Oprna Bay and the Škrila camping site in Stara Baska, lies this unnamed pebbly beach, where a good day at the beach (and some good trekking) are both guaranteed. Rating: Right within the center of the town of Baska, Vela Plaza is one of the most famous (and hence crowded) beaches in the island of Krk. Water is crystal clear and usually calm, thus providing an ideal setting for everyone, especially families with children. Malta Beaches – Anchor Bay

Rating: Anchor Bay is a small bay located approximately one km west of the village of Mellieha, which was named after the countless anchors which have been found in the bay. Nowadays it’s mostly known for Popeye Village, which was used as the set for the 1980 Hollywood musical Popeye, starring Robin Williams as Popeye. The bay itself is quite isolated and not very popular, either with locals or tourists. Water is clear though and sea conditions are usually adequate for swimming.
