Rating: This small pebble beach lies right next to the harbor in the town of Baska in the island of Krk. It is a good alternative to Vela Plaza and not too far from it either. Water is usually clear and calm, thus making a good candidate setting for swimmers (and sunbathers alike). Vela Plaza in Baska, Island of Krk

Rating: Right within the center of the town of Baska, Vela Plaza is one of the most famous (and hence crowded) beaches in the island of Krk. Water is crystal clear and usually calm, thus providing an ideal setting for everyone, especially families with children. It always gets crowded though, so that you have to show up early in order to secure your spot and also to expect a day surrounded by other people (mainly Italian, German or Croatian tourists) if you decide to stop here. Malta Beaches – Ramla Bay in Gozo

Rating: Ramla Bay (Ir-Ramla il-Ħamra in Maltese) is a sandy beach, located on the north-eastern side of Gozo, one of the three Maltese islands. Its sand features a distinctive golden-reddish tint, from which it’s inherited its name. The beach is very popular with both Maltese residents and tourists, and can be reached by either car or bus. It’s ideal for sunbathing and swimming, but it’s wide enough that some beach sport activities can be performed as well (it’s indeed suitable for families). Malta Beaches – Paradise Bay

Rating: Paradise Bay’s a Sandy beach located in Cirkewwa, on the northern part of the island of Malta. It’s set in a natural cove, which makes it excellent for snorkeling, especially on the two sides of it. It has a bar and several other facilities, including showers, a restaurant and a beach equipment rental/shop. Umbrellas and beach chairs can also be rented thereby.  Not far from it there’s also a Hotel, where a Diving School is also located.
